Just to confirm, suffit expander will not unzip this file. However I downloaded "The Unarchiver" and this has successfully unzipped the file.
Im at present in the procedure of backing upward the maps folder from the VW menu and will then copy the extracted new maps folder. Hopefully this should work now.

In one case unzipped on computer, its then copied to SD carte. Just a note - copied maps-directory (+subdirectories) into the root of SD menu. Accept a look on your electric current SD card how the file structure is - the maps-directory in the root of the SD card.

next running freefilesync i compared both the existing SD bill of fare and the new download.

it shows that most files were updated, and so i started the copy and replaced the existing map folder with the new map folder.

it took 25mins to re-create over . . . .

I've had mixed results with this method, lately weve been getting a lot of checksum errors.

first download and install the software packet.

then, same as in a higher place, take you map SDcard out the van, plug information technology into you lot pc then run the software.

cull your version and procced . . .

the software will cheque you have the correct OEM card and verify information technology . . . .

you lot are then given an option to backup your existing bill of fare before downloading and so installing the latest version dorsum onto the carte du jour.

The whole procedure can accept over three hours, so the manual method seems to exist best atm.
